Rashidi Aikens is in his third year as an assistant coach with the LIU Post women's basketball team in 2018-19.

Aikens previously served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Mercy College, where he amassed the eighth-most wins in program history. He also mentored a pair of All-East Coast Conference selections and served as the supervisor for the school's athletic work study program and fitness center.

Prior to Mercy, Aikens spent 12 years as an assistant coach at Nyack College. While there, he assisted in leading the Warriors to a pair of NCCAA East Region Championships and a Central Athletic Collegiate Conference regular-season and tournament title in 2009-10.

Aikens holds numerous certifications over his coaching career, including merits from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has earned an NCAA Division II Recruiting Certification, as well.

Aikens, who graduated from Nyack in May 2001 with a bachelor's degree in Communications, resides in Nyack, N.Y. with his wife, Mandy, and daughters, Madison and Elise.
