Scott Lagas is in his third season as an assistant coach with the C.W. Post women’s basketball team. The Pioneers have posted a 35-24 record during Lagas’ two years as assistant coach.

He came to the Pioneers after garnering seven years of high school coaching experience - two at St. Agnes High School and five at St. Mary’sHigh School. Lagas has also coached championship teams at the CYO, AAU and Police Athletic League levels, and over 40 of his AAU players have gone on to play college basketball. He attended St. John's and Queens College, and earned a degree in exercise science.  He also holds certifications in the areas of nutrition, strength and conditioning, speed and agility for athletes, and post-rehab injury training.
