Jerry DeLorenzo is in his third season on the Pioneers coaching staff after coaching at the high school and college level.

In 2013, DeLorenzo mentored senior goalie Tim Bradley to a 6.73 goals against average that ranked third nationally and first in the East Coast Conference. Bradley also has the top save percentage mark in the conference at 64.8 percent.
       
Prior to joining LIU Post, DeLorenzo spent the 2011 season coaching goalkeepers and defense at Molloy College.
       
In 2009 and 2010 DeLorenzo returned to his alma mater, Division Avenue, in Levittown, where he was an assistant coach for the Blue Dragons who went 28-8.
       
In 2008 Delorenzo served as an assistant goalkeeper and defense coach for the 2008 National Champion NYIT Bears.
       
From 2004-07, Delorenzo spent time as assistant defense and goalkeeper coach at Long Beach High School.
       
DeLorenzo was a three-year player at Syracuse University and was a member of the 1989 National Championship team.  He transferred to Towson State and played one year in 1992.  He helped lead the Tigers to an NCAA appearance and was named the team’s MVP. 
       
He finished his coursework at Syracuse University and graduated with a degree in Political Science in 1996.
       
DeLorenzo played for Division Avenue, where he was named an All-American and was selected to play in the North-South in 1987 following graduation.  He was also a member of the gold medal Team USA Under-19 squad in 1988.
       
A native of Levittown, DeLorenzo currently resides in Long Beach, N.Y.
