KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Dec. 9, 2008)- The National Soccer Coaches Association released its final post season poll for the 2008 season. In the current polls, C.W. Post was ranked 17^th. The Pioneers are joined for the first time all season by a fellow ECC opponent, the University of Bridgeport.

The recent rankings come after the Pioneers closed out their season on November 16, as they fell to the Bridgeport Purple Knights in a 1-0 overtime loss. C.W. Post had advanced to the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional for the second year in a row, posting an overall record of 17-3-1. C.W. Post was the only East Coast Conference team to be nationally ranked throughout the entire season. The Pioneers boasted numerous post season awards, including NSCAA Second Team All-America nods given to sophomore Anna Svensson (Stockholm, Sweden).
