Men's Soccer Shut Out By Southern New Hampshire in Season Opener, 1-0

MANCHESTER, N.H. - (Aug. 28, 2008)
– Paulson Edum scored the game-winning goal in the 37th minute on a header off a pass from Adrian Schipper, to lead the Southern New Hampshire Penmen past C.W. Post, 1-0, in an non-conference men's soccer match Thursday evening at Larkin Field. 
The game was the season opener for both teams as SNHU moved to 1-0 with the win and C.W. Post dropped to 0-1 on the season.
The Pioneers were outshot by the Penmen by a 26-2 count, and dropped a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman David Carlsson took both shots for C.W. Post
Sophomore goalkeeper Ayrton Haddad made 12 saves in the loss. Penmen keeper Sean Lamberd did not make a save in the shutout. 
Head coach Dieter Ficken and the Pioneers will take on Saint Anselm College at 1 p.m in Manchester, N.H., on August 30. They will then host their first home game against Felician College on September 3, at 4 p.m.
