HOLYOKE, Mass. (Aug. 31, 2008) – Senior forward Amber Limanni (Mickelton, N.J.) and junior forward Krystal Napolitano (Coram, N.Y.) teamed up for three goals, with Limanni scoring and Napolitano assisting on all three, as the Pioneers earned a non-conference victory over the American International Yellowjackets, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon at Holyoke High.

The win improves the Pioneers to 2-0 while the Yellowjackets drop to 0-2 with the loss.
Limanni scored 15 minutes into the first half to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead, and would find the back of the net again in the 48th minute.
A Linsey Fernandes goal off a Jacki Lapointe assist would cut the Pioneer lead to just one, but Limanni's third goal of the game and fourth of the season in the 67th minute gave the Pioneers all the insurance they would need as they coasted to the victory.
Sophomore goalkeeper Cortney Colern (Barker, N.Y.) earned her second win of the season as she made five saves in goal. Yellowjacket keeper Nicole Spence made seven saves, respectively.
The Pioneers outshot the Yellowjackets by a 17-8 count and earned 13 penalty corners to American International's two.
Head coach Raenee Savin will take to the road for their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opener on Sept. 6, against Millersville. Game time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
