Field Hockey Tabbed Eighth In NFHCA Weekly Poll
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 16, 2008) – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association released its weekly coaches poll and has tabbed C.W. Post eighth, up one spot from last week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Defending national champion, Bloomsburg, received the largest amount of points and first place votes, followed by Indiana (Pa.) and 2007 runner-up University of Massachusetts Lowell. Shippensburg and Kutztown rounded out the top five in the poll.
Head coach
Raenee Savin and the Pioneers, currently sporting a 4-1 record, take to the road as they travel to Mercyhurst on Sept. 19, for a 3 p.m. matchup. The next home game for the Pioneers is Sept. 23, when they host East Stroudsburg in a 4 p.m. contest.
