Junior guard Jasmine Moore (Bronx, N.Y.) scored a career-high 31 points to lead C.W. Post past Adelphi University, 75-66, in an East Coast Conference women's basketball clash Wednesday evening at the Pratt Recreation Center.

 
C.W. Post ends a two-game skid and improves to 7-9 overall and 5-4 in conference action while Adelphi drops to 9-9 overall and 6-3 in the ECC.
 
The Pioneers shot .528 (28 of 53) from the floor and held an advantage in assists (25-17) and steals (11-8) over the Panthers. Adelphi completed the game shooting .388 (19 of 49) from the floor. Both teams recorded 32 rebounds in the game.
 
Freshman forward Noelle Pawlicki (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a season-high 21 points and pulled down five boards while dishing out three assists with a defensive block. 
 
The Pioneer offense surged through the first half, converting 17 of 28 from the floor, including four behind the arc, and gradually increased its lead into double figures to lead by as many as 20 (39-19) with 2:02 remaining in the half.
 
Pawlicki led the hosts with 14 points while Moore added 12. The Pioneers converted 4 of 8 three-point field goals in the half. 
 
C.W. Post continued to drive to the basket in the second half. The Panthers cut the score down to 11 (48-37) with 14:40 on the board before a jumper underneath the basket from senior forward Whitney Murrer (Richmond, Va.) sparked an 11-0 surge that increased the Pioneers' lead to a game-high 22 (59-37) with 8:59 remaining in regulation. 
 
The Panthers converted 24 of 31 from the charity stripe.
 
Sophomore forward Ashley Caiafa led the Panthers with 25 points while teammate Theresa Foley registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.   
 
C.W. Post returns to action Jan. 31 when it hosts ECC rival Queens College at 1:30 p.m. at the Pratt Recreation Center.
