KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 1, 2009) – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its first weekly poll of the 2009 season, ranking the C.W. Post Pioneers 18th out of the top 25 teams in the nation. The Pioneers had received a preseason ranking from the NSCAA of 25th place in division II women's soccer.
The jump in ranking comes after a 2-0 week for C.W. Post. The Pioneers kicked off their season with a 4-0 win over Bloomsburg University on August 27, with junior Ivana Babic (Haninge, Sweden) tallying three goals and one assist for the afternoon. C.W. Post continued its winning ways as they travelled to East Stroudsburg University, defeating the Warriors 2-1 in overtime.

C.W. Post is back in action Wednesday, September 2 as they take on Holy Family University in the Pioneers' home opener at 4 p.m.
