LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Oct. 10, 2010) – Junior inside linebacker Ronnie Modik (Levittown, N.Y.) was named this week's PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week after a crucial defensive effort in C.W. Post's 49-21 win over Millersville on Saturday.

 

Modik recorded four tackles but more importantly recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown and also had a key interception and added a quarterback hurry to help lead C.W. Post to a 49-21 win over Millersville to improve to 3-0 in the PSAC East. With just under a minute left in the second quarter, Modik scooped up a Marauder fumble and returned it 55 yards for a score to give the Pioneers a commanding 28-0 lead. He later made an interception at the end of the third quarter and returned it 10 yards to set up another C.W. Post touchdown early in the fourth.

 

C.W. Post (4-2, 3-0 PSAC East) returns to action to host East Stroudsburg next Saturday at 1 p.m. on Hickox Field as part of Homecoming festivities.
