Men's Soccer Jumps into NSCAA Poll at No. 15

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 16, 2011)- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its weekly poll, ranking C.W. Post men's soccer at number 15 as the Pioneers make their first appearance in the NSCAA Poll this season.

The last time C.W. Post was ranked by the NSCAA was October 25, 2006, when they were 20th in the nation.  Earlier in that season, September 19, the Pioneers were 15th in the nation. 

C.W. Post has won four straight games to open the season, and matchups this week inlcude a trip to regionally ranked Bentley on Wednesday (the Falcons are sixth, the Pioneers are third in the latest NCAA East Region poll), followed by a home match on Saturday against Stonehill.  The Pioneers are led in the early part of the season by the torrid scoring of Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) with five goals and Cemil Turan (Staten Island, N.Y.) with four, along with solid play in goal from Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark), and a strong team effort on defense and in the midfield.
