(Nov. 1, 2010) - The seedings for the upcoming 2010 East Coast Conference soccer championships have been announced, and the top-seeded women's soccer team will serve as the hosts of a semifinal matchup featuring C.W. Post against fourth-seeded Molloy College on Friday, November 5 at 12 p.m. Molloy (6-9-1, 4-3 ECC) clinched the fourth seed with a 5-0 rout of Mercy College on Sunday, while the Pioneers topped Queens, 2-0, in a matchup of the two teams tied for first place to clinch the tops seed. The Pioneers are currently 11-1-4 overall with a 6-0-1 ECC record. In other semifinal action, No. 2 Queens (5-1-1 ECC) will host No. 3 Bridgeport (5-1-1 ECC) at on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Queens College. The semifinal winners will advance to the ECC finals, held on Sunday, Nov. 7, at Knights Field at the University of Bridgeport at 2 p.m. In men's soccer ECC Championship action, the Pioneers clinched the fourth seed with 2-0 victory over Queens on Saturday, and will travel to face top-seeded Dowling at 7 p.m. on Friday evening. The other semifinal features No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas at No. 2 Bridgeport at 2 p.m. on Friday. The finals will be at Bridgeport at 11 p.m. on Sunday. Print Friendly Version
