Men's Soccer Jumps to No. 3 in NSCAA Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 11, 2011) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its weekly poll, ranking C.W. Post men's soccer at No. 3, up three spots from last week.
C.W. Post remained unbeaten on the season, as the Pioneers put together a 2-0 week, winning a 2-1 contest over Millersville then defeating 17th-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas 1-0. Cemil Turan scored two goals and Eivind Austboe added one as the Pioneers got a strong week from goalkeeper Marco Jorgensen. Ranked sixth in the nation in the latest NSCAA polls, C.W. Post has an 11-0 record including a 3-0 slate in the ECC. C.W. Post remains at home to host NYIT on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. in another ECC game, followed by a meeting with Mercy on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. C.W. The Pioneers will host Millersville this week on Wednesday at 4 p.m., followed by St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
