Women's Soccer Plays To 0-0 Draw Against Philadelphia

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2011) – The C.W. Post women's soccer team played Philadelphia University to a 0-0 tie Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup on Robert Blitz Field.
 
C.W. Post's record now stands at 7-4-1 while Philadelphia is 13-1-2.
 
C.W. Post outscored the Rams, 10-8, in the game and had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. 
 
Senior goalkeeper Allie Weiser (Grand Island, N.Y.) made five stops in goal while her counterpart, Kelli Kowalewski, also had five saves.
 
Sophomore forward Alexa Nicoforo (East Islip, N.Y.) took a shot on goal with just a few ticks left on the clock in the second half but Kowalewski was there to scoop it up.
 
C.W. Post returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Queens College at 11:30 a.m.
