BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 24, 2011) – Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) scored two goals and Andreas Olson (Oppeid, Norway) had a goal and two assists as the C.W. Post men's soccer team served American International an emphatic 4-1 defeat on Monday afternoon.

The Pioneers improve to 14-1-1 on the season while AIC falls to 5-9-3.

The Yellow Jackets took an early lead in the contest at 7:16 as Conor Doyle slid a thru ball from the left side to Thomas Denomme, who took one touch in the box and chipped the ball over CWP keeper Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark).

Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) evened the score at one apiece in the 15th minute, as he took an assist from Eirik Bjoernoe (Randaberg, Norway) and angled his header past AIC goalkeeper Corey Cameron.

Bjoernoe added his second helper of the game after the halftime break as he sent a low cross from the corner that Olson knocked home from eight yards out for a 2-1 lead.

Austboe scored his second of the day as Olson sent him the ball in the box and Austboe's low kick lined directly into the bottom right corner.

Sophomore Jonathon Watkin (Doncaster, England) capped the Pioneer scoring as Olson made a long run up the wing and crossed him the ball for an easy one-touch shot into the upper shelf.

Jorgensen made three saves while Cameron made five stops for the goalkeeper stats.  CWP held a 16-11 edge in shots and an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pioneers close out their regular season on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. as they host Molloy.
