Men's Soccer Ranked Ninth in NSCAA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 25, 2011) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its weekly poll, ranking C.W. Post men's soccer at No. 9.

During the past week, C.W. Post suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a 1-0 contest to Nyack.  The Pioneers rebounded to post a 3-1 victory over Queens on Saturday, getting goals from Eivind Austboe, Cemil Turan and Andreas Olson.  In yesterday afternoon's contest, the Pioneers defeated AIC, 4-1, and now stand at 14-1-1 overall and sit atop the ECC standings with a 5-0-1 record.  C.W. Post closes out the regular season with a home contest against Molloy on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.    

C.W. Post remained unbeaten on the season, as the Pioneers, ranked No. 8 in the most recent NSCAA poll, defeated Dowling 5-1 on Saturday night, improving to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.  C.W. Post got two goals apiece from Andreas Olson and Eivind Austboe, with Arlind Nika rounding out the scoring with one score.  Marco Jorgensen was solid in the net with seven saves.  The Pioneers will host Millersville this week on Wednesday at 4 p.m., followed by St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
