No. 1 Bloomsburg Upends No. 7 Field Hockey, 2-0

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 5, 2011) –
The top-ranked Bloomsburg University Huskies scored two second half goals and held off No. 7 C.W. Post for a 2-0 win Wednesday afternoon in a PSAC East field hockey matchup.
 
Bloomsburg improves to 11-0 overall and 4-0 in conference action while C.W. Post slips to 7-4 overall.
 
The Huskies scored their first goal in the 53rd minute when Nicole Bruce tipped in a shot on a hard pass from the top of the circle from Amber Aulenbach.
 
Bloomsburg added a safety goal when Lindsay Danz went around and beat senior goalkeeper Devon Trenkle (New City, N.Y.) for an open goal in the 67th minute.
 
Bloomsburg outshot C.W. Post, 14-7, while both teams were each awarded eight penalty corners.
 
Trenkle made five saves in net.  Husky goalkeeper Meghan Hollenbach made two saves in net for the shutout.
 
C.W. Post returns to action on Friday when it travels to play at East Stroudsburg on Friday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.
