No. 6 Men's Soccer Holds Off Millersville, 2-1

Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) continued to power the Pioneers offensively, as the sixth-ranked C.W. Post men's soccer held off a late comeback attempt by Millersville to win its tenth straight game, 2-1, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pioneers remain perfect on the season at 10-0 overall, while Millersville slips to 5-3-1.
Turan gave the Pioneers an early lead, as he received a long cross from
David Borysewicz (Bay Shore, N.Y.) at 16:13, and headed the ball into the lower right corner for the 1-0 advantage.
The Pioneers took the lead into halftime and continued to play well out of the break, as Turan made a run up the right wing and sent a cross to Austboe in the center of the box, who one-touched a shot in to the lower right corner to double the score, 2-0.
Millersville would not go down quietly however, as Aaron Roland put a shot into the lower left corner to keep the game close, 2-1.
But the Pioneers were able to buckle down on defense and hold the lead for its program-best tenth straight win.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) made five stops to improve to 10-0 on the season, while MU counterpart Brad Benzing made seven saves.
The Pioneers look to extend their winning streak on Saturday as they take on St. Thomas Aquinas at 2:30 p.m.
