Football Extends Win Streak To Three With 24-6 Win At Millersville

Steven Laurino (Boise, Idaho) totaled 264 offensive yards that included 133 rushing and two touchdowns to lead C.W. Post to its third straight victory of the season with a 24-6 victory over Millersville University Saturday afternoon in a PSAC East football clash on Biemesderfer Stadium.
C.W. Post improves to 3-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play while Millersville slips to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the PSAC East.
The Pioneers scored first in the first quarter when Laurino kept the ball for a 20-yard dash into the endzone. Freshman kicker
Marc Montana (East Amherst, N.Y.) kicked the point after to lead 7-0 at 8:57.
The Marauders evened the score in the second quarter when Marquis White took off down the field and carried the ball 52 yards into the endzone at 10:39.
Minutes later, the Pioneers were back on top as junior running back
Thomas Beverly (Wyandanch, N.Y.) broke through for a 2-yard TD at 8:31. C.W. Post led 14-6 at the half.
The Pioneers continued to build their lead in the third quarter, beginning Laurino's second touchdown on a 9-yard rush at 12:03.
Montana kicked his third field goal of the season from 31 yards out at 7:56 in the third for the final score of the game.
Laurino completed 9 of 19 pass attempts for 133 yards. Junior wide receiver
Grayson Laurino (Boise, Idaho) caught two of those for 47 yards.
The Pioneer defense had another terrific game with 68 tackles, including 15 for loss as well as six sacks, three forced fumbles, three recoveries, one interception, three pass breakups and one block. Senior inside linebacker
Billy O'Connor (Sayville, N.Y.) led the defense with nine tackles.
White led the Marauders with 65 rushing yards.
