CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 4, 2011) - After an unbeaten regular record in East Coast Conference play, members of the C.W. Post Pioneers men's soccer team took home four out of five top All-Conference awards, as voted on by the league's coaches.

Sophomore forward Cemil Turan (Staten Island, N.Y.) was named the Offensive Player of the Year, freshman Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) took home the Rookie of the Year, Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) earned the Goalkeeper of the Year, and head coach Andreas Lindberg garnered Coach of the Year honors. Bridgeport's Clayton Ulmer rounds out the top award winners as the Defensive Player of the Year.

Turan and Jorgensen were also named to the All-Conference First Team, along with junior midfielder Andreas Olson (Oppeid, Norway) and sophomore backs Leron Haywood (Rosedale, N.Y.) and Eirik Bjoernoe (Randaberg, Norway).  Austboe earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.

Turan was an offensive force for the Pioneers in 2011, helping the squad to a 14-1-1 (6-0-1 ECC) record. The three-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week, Turan finished second in the conference in goals (13), points (30), and points per game (1.76). He also sent home a conference leading six game winning goals.

Turan had help leading the Pioneers offense this season, teaming with Rookie of the Year, Austboe.  Austboe had an outstanding first season at C.W. Post, leading the conference with 15 goals and 32 points. A four-time ECC Rookie of the Week, Austboe also finished third in the conference with four game winning goals.

Jorgensen takes home the Goalkeeper of the Year award. On the year, Jorgensen finished with 81 saves to lead the conference with an .862 save percentage and a 0.69 goals against average. He also finished second in the ECC with six shutouts while posting a 16-1-1 record.

Leading his team to an ECC Regular Season title, Lindberg has been voted the ECC Men's Soccer Coach of the Year by his peers. Lindberg guided the Pioneers to a 14-1-1 regular season record with a 6-0-1 mark in conference play to earn the top seed in the ECC Tournament.

Olson led the team with 10 assists while scoring six goals, three of which were game-
winners.  Bjoernoe was second with seven assists, and scored three goals, all of them coming on penalty kicks, which he was a perfect 3-for-3 in.  Haywood rebounded from an injury that forced him to red-shirt last season, returning to freshman year form that won him ECC Most Valuable Player honors in 2009.
