Three Women's Soccer Players Named To ECC All-Conference Teams
EAST ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 5, 2011) – With the regular-season coming to a close and teams now entering into postseason play, the East Coast Conference named the All-Conference and individual awards today for women's soccer. Three C.W. Post individuals were named to All-Conference squads to represent the Pioneers women's soccer program.
Sophomore
Alexa Niciforo (East Islip, N.Y.) and senior
Tove Eriksson (Helsingborg, Sweden) each garner All-Conference First Team accolades. Niicforo finished with the team lead in goals, 10, and points for the season, 24, while starting in all 16 games for the Pioneers. Erikkson, also a mainstay in the starting lineup for the team's 16 games, finished the season with five goals and three assists for the team's next best point total behind Niciforo of 13 points.
Senior
Allie Weiser (Grand Island, N.Y.) also was mentioned in the postseason credentials, earning All-Conference Second Team for her goalkeeping duties throughout the year. Weiser started 14 games for C.W. Post this year, making 61 saves throughout the year the helped to contribute to four shutouts and a 80.3 save percentage.
