Giordano Recognized As ECC Goalkeeper Of The Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (April 12, 2011) – Senior goalkeeper Mike Giordano (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was named this week's East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after his excellent play in goal against Mercyhurst.
This marks the third time Giordano has received the honor this season. He was also GOW last week for his defense against NYIT.
Giordano made 13 saves in goal, including five in the fourth, to preserve the win against No. 4 Mercyhurst. He has lowered his goals against average to 3.98.
C.W. Post (11-1, 4-1 ECC) returns to action on the road against Wheeling Jesuit on Wednesday, April 13.
