Men's Soccer Helps Collect Food and Money for Island Harvest

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 12, 2011) – The C.W. Post Athletic Department continued its tradition of giving back and helping the community, with this time the Pioneer men's soccer team taking the iniative by collecting food and money for Island Harvest. 

This past weekend, 12 men's soccer team members collected many goods and money during a food drive that last for four from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. 

Island Harvest is Long Island's largest hunger relief organization.  The organization serves as a bridge between those who need food to those who are able to donate.  Not only does Island Harvest collect from over 600 establishments to donate to nearly 500 accessible institutions, but the organization also holds educational programs that help educate the public on hunger awareness and how everyone can get involved.
