Men's Lacrosse Climbs To No. 2 In This Week's USILA Poll
PERRY, N.Y. (April 26, 2011) – The C.W. Post men's lacrosse team moved up to No. 2 in this week's USILA coaches poll.
LeMoyne College is now the overall leader after receiving six first-place votes. Limestone College, who has led the poll for the last four weeks, slipped to fourth after a 12-8 loss to Mercyhurst. The win spiked Mercyhurst to the third spot.
The fifth, sixth and seventh slots all saw a change as Adelphi, Mercy and NYIT each shifted up one spot. Dowling, who lost a one-goal game to Chestnut Hill, fell three spots to finish eighth.
Mars Hill entered the poll ranked ninth while St. Michael's moved up two to No. 10. Catawba stayed 11th and Bentley entered the poll ranked 12th.
Receiving votes this week was Chestnut Hill, Merrimack, Pfeiffer and Seton Hill.
The Pioneers were inactive last week due to weather conditions but will resume action against Mercy College on Wednesday.
