Women's Soccer Ranked 20th In NSCAA Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 16, 2011) – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its Division II Preseason poll, ranking the C.W. Post women's soccer team 20th overall. The Pioneers are the lone East Coast Conference school represented in the poll.  
 
The Pioneers return under the direction of fourth-year head coach Mark Dawson, after completing the 2010 season with an overall record of 14-2-4, an ECC Championship and an appeara and tying the program record for wins. C.W. Post also captured the East Coast Conference Championship and made appearance in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional for the second consecutive season. The Pioneers ended their season ranked 17th overall in the final 2008 NSCAA poll.
 
C.W. Post kicks of its season on Sept. 2 as it travels to Connecticut for the Bridgeport Soccer Classic, taking on UMass-Lowell and American International. The Pioneers are set to open conference play on Sept. 24 as they travel to Bridgeport at 6 p.m.
