ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Sept. 11, 2011) – Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) scored with 26 remaining in the first half, and the Pioneer defense made the goal stand, as the C.W. Post men's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over Dominican on Sunday afternoon at Skelos Field.
C.W. Post remains unbeaten at 4-0, while Dominican moves to 1-2-1.
As usual, the Pioneers outshot their opponent, with CWP holding a 21-12 advantage, and an 8-6 corner advantage. However, the Pioneers were unable to convert until Eirik Bjoernoe (Randaberg, Norway) took a corner for C.W. Post, and Austboe tapped his pass into the top right corner for the lone goal of the game.
Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) played very well in goal, making six saves in earning his fourth win of the year. Brandon Heembronck made eight stops for the Chargers.
 C.W. Post travels to Bentley to take on the Falcons on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m.
