Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2011) – The 15th-ranked C.W. Post men's soccer scored the tying goal with just under 15 minutes remaining, then tallied the game-winner with five and a half minutes left in regulation to score a 2-1 win over the Bentley Falcons in men's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.

With the victory, C.W. Post improves to 5-0, matching its best start since 1999, when the Pioneers also opened the season with a 5-0 slate.  Bentley slips to 1-1-1 on the season.

The Pioneers found themselves down early as Bentley drew first blood in the 12th minute of play, following a second ball that was won by Bryan German.  German sent a pass into the box, finding the head of Weston Zeiner for the 1-0 advantage.

Bentley took a 1-0 lead into the halftime but C.W. Post upped their offensive pressure in the second half, unleashing 10 shots following intermission.

The Pioneers finally knotted the game 1-1 in the 75th minute.  Andreas Olson (Oppeid, Norway) sent a pass from the right wing to William Lindberg (Gothenburg, Sweden).  Lindberg shot from 20 yards out and curled the ball into the left corner for his first goal of the season.

C.W. Post kept up its assault on Bentley GK Matt Reynolds, and finally struck at 84:29.  The speedy Cemil Turan (Staten Island, N.Y.) made a run down the left wing and his 15-yard shot went past Reynolds and into the back of the net for the Pioneer lead.

Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) earned the win and improved to 5-0 in goal for the Pioneers, as he made five saves in 90 minutes of play.  Reynolds was saddled with the loss for the Falcons, making three stops while going the distance.

The Pioneers owned a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks, including 6-1 in the second half.  They also owned a 16-10 edge in shots.

C.W. Post continues facing off against members of the NE-10 on Saturday, as it hosts Stonehill in a 12 noon matchup.
