Cemil Turan's (Staten Island, N.Y.) second-half goal.
C.W. Post improves to 8-0 on the season and 1-0 in the ECC, while Bridgeport slips to 3-4 on the season and 0-2 in ECC play.
The teams played a deadlocked first half, with a very even shot spread as C.W. Post took eight to Bridgeport's seven.
Turan's second half tally was set up by a pass to
Andreas Olson (Oppeid, Norway) out on the right, who sent the ball to Turan in the center of the box for the 1-0 advantage.
Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) made seven saves to preserve the shutout, while UB counterpart Danny Hernandez stopped 10 shots in taking the loss.
C.W. Post has a week off to prepare for a battle of the ECC Champions of the past two season, as the 2009 ECC Champion Pioneers take on defending 2010 champs Dowling College.
