Cross Country Announces Signing of Elizabeth Striling
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 17, 2012) – Coach
Rob Morris is pleased to announce a signing for the upcoming 2012 fall season with Elizabeth Striling set to join the squad.
Striling joins the Pioneer cross country family after competing for two years at Wantagh High School. She is relatively new to competitive running; however, in her short two years she was able to achieve some success. During her time at Wantagh, she qualified for the New York State Cross Country Championship and won the 3,000 meter indoor conference title.
“Elizabeth has the talent to be an athlete that can make an instant impact in both our ECC Conference and Regional competitions,” said Coach Morris.
Striling will join a women's cross country team that is coming off a 2011 ECC Championship and recently was named an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
