Football Welcomes No. 11 Bloomsburg Saturday At 1 p.m.
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2012) - LIU Post will welcome No. 11 Bloomsburg University this Saturday for a pivotal PSAC East matchup. Both teams, along with Shippensburg University, are undefeated in division play along with a 1-0 record. Last season, the Pioneers stunned the favored Huskies, 24-21, in a heavy snowfall at Redman Stadium.
Overall, Bloomsburg holds a 4-1 all-time record against the Pioneers since the series began in 2007. Both teams are scoring in high numbers while displaying stingy defense against recent opponents.
Last week, the Pioneers claimed a 45-10 win over Cheyney last Saturday and amassed 470 offensive yards. Sophomore quarterback
Steven Laurino (Boise, Idaho) passed for 259 yards and two touchdowns while rushing in a third touchdown.
Bloomsburg triumphed with a 44-37 win over Kutztown University.
Franklyn Quiteh rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns while quarterback Tim Kelly completed 16 of 28 pass attempts for 246 yards and two touchdowns.
