Fifth Week at No. 5 for Field Hockey in the NFHCA Top-10 Poll
CHANDLER, Ariz. (Oct. 15, 2013) - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association, along with Penn Monto, released its weekly Division II Top-10 rankings on Tuesday, and LIU Post remained at No. 5 for the fifth-straight week.
The Pioneers registered yet another perfect week, recording wins over 10th-ranked Bentley (3-0) and seventh-ranked East Stroudsburg (2-1 OT). LIU Post accumulated 111 points in the poll, which is an 11-point increase from last week.
Shippensburg and Millersville retained the top two spots, respectively, while the third and fourth rankings switched places. Stonehill took over the third slot after improving to 12-0, while West Chester fell to No. 4, after dropping a match to the top-ranked Raiders, 2-1.
The bottom half of the poll remained the same except for Merrimack and Bentley tying in the ninth spot. This week, Bentley dropped to 10th, while the Warriors held the ninth ranking.
