BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 26, 2013) - Senior forward Carlee Dragon (Bridgewater, N.J.) totaled six points on two goals and two assists, as she led the No. 3 LIU Post field hockey team to a 4-1 victory over Saint Anselm Saturday at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y.

The Pioneers (16-0) came out aggressive, totaling 15 shots in the first half and 13 penalty corners. They were unable to get on the scoreboard, though, until the 26th minute, when LIU Post was granted a penalty corner. Off the corner, freshman midfielder Lauren Adamusik (Clark, N.J.) found Dragon at the top of the circle who lifted the ball over the goalie and into the back of the cage.

Dragon added an assist just over two minutes later. She found junior forward Lyn-Marie Wilson (Bridgetown, Barbados) at the left flank who tapped the ball into the lower left corner of the net to double the Pioneers' lead.

About three minutes into the second half, the Dragon-Wilson duo teamed up again, this time with Wilson finding Dragon who sent the pass home for the score.

In the 50th minute, the Hawks (5-10) got on the board courtesy of a Canada Stewart unassisted tally off of a rebound in front of the goal. The Pioneers later re-gained the three goal advantage, as sophomore forward Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) re-directed a pass from Dragon into the back of the net.

Freshman Meredith Stocklin (Mount Laurel, N.J.) made one save in her ninth win between the pipes, while her counterpart, Katherine Sears, turned away 19 shots in the loss.

The Pioneers held overwhelming advantages over the Hawks in shots, 28-2, and penalty corners, 24-2.

Next up for the Pioneers is a home contest on Tuesday (Oct. 29), when they host American International at Hickox Field for a 4 p.m. Northeast-10 match-up.
