SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (Oct. 7, 2013) - On Monday, senior forward Carlee Dragon (Bridgewater, N.J.) of the fifth-ranked LIU Post field hockey team garnered Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week recognition for the second-consecutive week, and the third time in 2013.

Dragon totaled nine points on the week (4 goals, 1 assist), including a hat trick against Merrimack on Sunday. She set a new career program record for goals as well, when she tallied her second of three markers in the contest, and then later added the game-clinching tally in double overtime to secure the 4-3 win.

The senior is currently ranked second in the nation in three statistical categories - points per game (4.22), goals per game (1.67), and assists per game (0.89), which she trails teammate Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.), who currently averages 1.22 assists per game to lead all of Division II.

Dragon and the Pioneers are back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 9), as they take on Southern Connecticut State in New Haven, Conn., with play slated to start at 7 p.m.
