KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Nov. 12, 2013) - The LIU Post men's soccer team moved into a tie for eighth in the latest NSCAA Division II Top-25 Coaches' Poll, released Tuesday. This is the final tally of the regular season before the final ledger comes out on December 10th.

Last week, the Pioneers secured their second-straight ECC title, following a thrilling 2-1 victory over Mercy in the semifinal, and a 3-0 blanking of Dowling just two days later. Junior forward Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) recorded seven points over the two games, including the game-winning helper on Jonathon Watkin's (Doncaster, England) goal with 2.8 seconds left in the semifinal victory over Mercy.

Lindenwood and Southern New Hampshire leapt into a tie for first after they rose from sixth and 10th, respectively. The Lions are the only remaining undefeated team in the nation. Young Harris, Rollins and Cal State - Los Angeles rounded out the Top-5.

Non-rated Rockhurst jumped to No. 14 on the back of its Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship this past weekend. Falling out of the Top-25 was Quincy, West Chester, Wingate, Regis, and Chico State.

Fresh off their third-consecutive NCAA Tournament bid, the Pioneers are back to the pitch on Saturday (Nov. 16), as they take on either Dowling or NYIT in a second-round tilt in Brookville, N.Y. The opening kick is set for 1 p.m.
