Field Hockey Moves Up to No. 5 in NFHCA Top-10 Poll
CHANDLER, Ariz. (Oct. 21, 2014) - On Tuesday, the LIU Post field hockey team rose one spot to fifth in the 2014 Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Top-10 Poll.
Last Tuesday (Oct. 14), the Pioneers topped Northeast-10 Conference opponent Southern Connecticut State, 4-2, with a balanced offensive effort. Two tallies came off the stick of junior forward
Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.), while freshman
Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.) and sophomore
Lauren Adamusik (Clark, N.J.) were credited with the other goals.
Then, on Friday (Oct. 17), the green and gold traveled to North Easton, Mass., where they dropped a 3-2 decision to No. 4 Stonehill. Senior
Stephanie Ruhle (Wanaque, N.J.) found the back of the cage twice, but LIU Post's offensive attack could not edge the Skyhawks.
Head Coach
Raenee Savin and the Pioneers are back in action Tuesday (Oct. 21), when they host Assumption in an NE-10 clash at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at 4 p.m. in Brookville, N.Y.
