SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (Oct. 27, 2014) - For the third time this season, junior forward
Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) has been tabbed the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Last week, Margiotta's five tallies and one assist, good for 11 points, aided the No. 5 Pioneers to two conference victories over Assumption (Oct. 21) and Bentley (Oct. 26). Against the Greyhounds, the Sewell native found the back of the cage twice, while adding an assist to the green and gold's 5-3 victory. In LIU Post's annual "Stick It To Cancer" and Play4theCure face-off versus Bentley, the junior led the Pioneer offensive effort with a hat trick to secure the 3-1 win.
Margiotta currently boasts the No. 1 goals-per-game average in the nation (1.91), compiling 21 goals and eight assists through the 2014 campaign.
Margiotta and the Pioneers are back in action Wednesday (Oct. 29), when they square off with No. 7 Adelphi in Garden City, N.Y. at 7 p.m.
