Field Hockey Improves to No. 4 in Latest NFHCA Poll

CHANDLER, Ariz. (Nov. 11, 2014) - Following a three-victory week, the LIU Post field hockey team advanced to a No. 4 ranking in the lastet 2014 Penn Monto/ NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, as announced on Tuesday. 

The Pioneers collected two Northeast-10 conference victories this week, improving to a 14-2 overall and 9-1 conference mark, besting Southern New Hampshire (Nov. 4), 9-1, and Saint Anselm (Nov. 9), 5-1. The green and gold added a non-conference win to their campaign with a 5-0 shoutout of Bellarmine (Nov. 7). On the week, LIU Post field hockey amassed 19 goals for 52 points. 

Head Coach Raenee Savin and the Pioneers are set to close out their regular season Wednesday, Nov. 12, in a conference matchup in Springfield, Mass. when they are set to face American International at 4 p.m.
