The Pioneers finished with an 18-2-2 record, losing in the third round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.
In 2012, Austboe played in just seven contests before suffering a season-ending injury. He was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year in 2011 after leading the East Coast Conference in goals (16) and points (34).
