KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Dec, 9, 2014) - The LIU Post men's soccer team returned to the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II Poll on Tuesday, at No. 11, in the final tally of the 2014 season.

The Pioneers, who were slotted eighth in the preseason vote, held down the No. 22 spot in November, the last time the team checked into the ledger.

LIU Post concluded the year at 16-5-2, including an 8-1-1 mark in East Coast Conference play, and earning a share of the league's regular-season title. It went on to win the program's first-ever NCAA Division II East Region Championship, following a 2-0 shutout of Merrimack on Nov. 20 in North Andover, Mass.

Earlier this month, senior forward Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) and junior midfielder Per Forgaard (Stavanger, Norway) were named to the 2014 Daktronics All-America second- and third-team rosters, respectively.
