BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 17, 2014) - The LIU Post men's lacrosse team fell two spots in Monday's USILA and Lacrosse Magazine Division II polls, dipping from third to fifth, after an 11-7 loss to Adelphi last Tuesday.

The Pioneers rebounded on Saturday, however, in a 15-2 rout of Roberts Wesleyan. Sophomore attackman Ryan Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) amassed a career-high 10 points (7 G, 3 A) in the victory.

Le Moyne topped both ledgers, earning 149 points and nine first-place votes. Adelphi (141 points, one first-place vote) was a close second. Limestone (No. 3) and Tampa (No. 4) also preceded LIU Post.

In the USILA tally, Dowling jumped three spots to No. 6, whereas Seton Hill fell three notches to seventh. Merrimack stayed eighth. NYIT (No. 9) and Pfeiffer (No. 10) moved up one slot apiece to cap the Top-10.

Mercyhurst, following a one-goal loss (8-7), to Queens (N.C.), plunged from seventh to 11th. Wheeling Jesuit and Chestnut Hill returned to the national picture, tying for 12th. Molloy and Lenoir-Rhyne rounded it out.

Head Coach John Jez and his LIU Post squad are back in action Saturday (Mar. 22), when they take on No. 14 Molloy in an East Coast Conference tilt in Rockville Centre, N.Y. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
