LIU Post Dips to 15th in Latest Learfield Cup Standings
CLEVELAND, Ohio (Mar. 21, 2014) - In the first winter poll of the 2013-14 season, LIU Post dropped nine spots to No. 15 in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings, released Thursday.
The Pioneers, who have totaled 293 points thus far, earned 66 points for their 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships in Geneva, Ohio. Sophomore
Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) highlighted the meet for the green and gold, as she captured her second-straight national title in the 200-yard butterfly.
Grand Valley State sits atop the rankings with a 718-point total. Ashland has had the best winter so far though, amassing a whopping 313.50 points, en route to placing fourth in the ledger.
Bridgeport is the next closest East Coast Conference institution to LIU Post. The Purple Knights currently sport 245.50 points, which is good for 27th place.
