LIU Post Places 43 Names on NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (Jun. 19, 2014) - The Northeast-10 Conference released its Spring 2014 Commissioner's Honor Roll Wednesday, and a combined total of 42 LIU Post football and field hockey student-athletes were represented on the ledger.

In order to be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded a minimum 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the specified semester.

Nine of the honorees for the Pioneers posted a 4.0 GPA, seven of which came from the football program. They were graduate Sean O'Connor (Valhalla, N.Y.), seniors Joe Botti (Holtsville, N.Y.) and Tommy Williams (Westbury, N.Y.), junior Chris Rossi (Hillsborough, N.J.), sophomore Christian Neptune (Westbury, N.Y.), and freshmen Mike Williams (Westbury, N.Y.) and Ryan Lewis (Center Moriches, N.Y.).

Meanwhile, graduate Dani Crouse (Westville, South Africa) and junior Karina Fleming (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) of the field hockey team sported 4.0 GPA's as well.

15 other student-athletes posted a grade-point average in the 3.50-3.99 range for the green and gold, whereas 18 Pioneers boasted a GPA between a 3.0 and a 3.49.
