KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 27, 2015) - The LIU Post men's soccer team has stood pat as the 10th-ranked team in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II Top-25 Poll, released Tuesday.
The Pioneers (11-1-2, 8-0) are currently unbeaten in their last 11 games and coming off two East Coast Conference wins, after beating Roberts Wesleyan College, 4-3, and Daemen College, 8-2, last week.
Senior midfielder
Per Forgaard (Stavanger, Norway) led the green and gold offensively during the week, tallying two goals and four assists for an eight-point output. Fellow senior midfielder
Matias Ruiz (Southampton, N.Y.) had a combined three tallies in the two victories, while sophomore midfielder
Harry Pearse (Berkshire, London, England) netted a pair of goals.
Between the pipes, junior goalkeeper
Jesper Malmstrom (Linkopping, Sweden) and senior netminder
Kevin LaBarbera (Miller Place, N.Y.) earned wins against Roberts Wesleyan and Daemen, respectively.
LIU Post is back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 28), when it hosts Molloy College in its 2015 home finale at Pioneer Soccer Park at noon.
