WALTHAM, Mass. (Oct. 29, 2015) - In a contest that featured only three shots on goal, the LIU Post field hockey team fell to Northeast-10 Conference rival Bentley University, 1-0, in overtime Wednesday night at Bentley Field.

Senior forward/midfielder Meghan Talerman (Centerville, Mass.) scored the game-winner for the Falcons (9-7, 7-4 NE-10) in the 77th minute, as she beat Pioneers' (10-7, 6-5 NE-10) junior goalie Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.) on a shot from just inside the circle on a breakaway.

Sophomore forward Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.) nearly gave LIU Post the lead late in regulation though. With 2:55 remaining, Zelkovsky's shot fooled Bentley junior goaltender Evelyn Schaedel (Burlington, Vt.), but hit the post to keep the game scoreless.

Zelkovsky and senior forward Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) each finished with a game-high three shots. Junior midfielder Steph Mocerino (Andover, N.J.) added two shots in the contest.

Head Coach Raenee Savin and the Pioneers wrap up the 2015 season on Friday (Oct. 30) in Rindge, N.H. at NE-10 opponent Franklin Pierce University at 4 p.m.
