Men's Lacrosse to Play in North Florida Face-Off For Wounded Warrior

PALM COAST, Fla. (Feb. 23, 2015) - This week, the LIU Post men's lacrosse team will depart for the Sunshine State to compete in the North Florida College Lacrosse Face-Off.

The Pioneers are scheduled to partake in a series of events, bookended by a pair of non-conference games against Saint Leo (Feb. 27) and Lynn (Mar. 1). All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

On Saturday, Feb. 28, the green are gold will host a youth lacrosse camp for all elementary and middle schoolers at Ralph Carter Park in Palm Coast. Head Coach John Jez and his squad will go through station work and run drills with the young participants.

The Wounded Warrior Project, whose motto is "The greatest casualty is being forgotten", was founded to help with wounded soldiers in the armed forces. Their vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.
