Williams Earns Daktronics All-Region Praise

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Mar. 16, 2015) - After posting the highest single-season points per game mark in LIU Post women's basketball history, senior guard Chelsea Williams (Copiague, N.Y.) has been named to the Daktronics/Division II CCA Women's Basketball All-Region Second-Team, it was announced last week.

Williams, a 2013-14 All-East Region First-Team selction, earns a Second Team nod after leading the Pioneers and the East Coast Conference with 21.7 points per game. Her points per game total is the third highest single season total in conference history. In addition, the ECC First Team pick led the conference with 189 free throws made to move her to third on the ECC all-time list with 521 makes from the charity stripe in her career.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II East Region schools and conferences selected the Daktronics/Division II CCA All-Region teams. Brent and Rowland are now eligible to earn a spot on the All-American team, which will be selected and released later in the month.
