CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Mar. 30, 2015) - LIU Post men's lacrosse junior attackman Matty Beccaris (North Babylon, N.Y.) has been named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Beccaris led the Pioneers offensively with an astounding 15 points (11 G, 4 A) in two games. He amassed a career-high eight goals and 10 points in a 19-5 win over Dominican on Saturday (Mar. 28).

The North Babylon product preceded that performance with a five-point effort (3 G, 2 A) in a 15-9 victory at Post on Wednesday (Mar. 25).

Beccaris presently leads the ECC this season in goals (28) and shots on goal (48). He is also third in man-up goals (5) and points (41), and eighth in assists (13).

LIU Post is back in action on Saturday (Apr. 4), when it squares off with Merrimack in non-conference action at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville. The opening faceoff is set for noon.
