Outdoor Track and Field Collects Nine All-Conference Honors

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 24, 2015) - The LIU Post men's and women's outdoor track and field teams earned nine 2015 All-Conference accolades, as announced by the East Coast Conference on Friday.

For the men, graduate student Dale McDonald (Roosevelt, N.Y.) was tabbed a first-team selection for his 400-meter dash performance in the ECC Championships, as well as garnering a second-team slot in the 200-meter dash. Freshman Thomas Flynn (Smithtown, N.Y.) earned a first-team nod for his 5,000-meter run performance, and Nigel Simmons was also named to the All-Conference first-team for the 110-meter hurdles. The Pioneer 4 x 800-meter relay team, Steven Arnone (Staten Island, N.Y.), Flynn, Mike Scott (Fultonville, N.Y.) and Tyler McGarvey (Babylon, N.Y.), earned a second-team selection, while freshman Bjorn Bjornsson (Levittown, N.Y.) was named to the second-team for his long and triple jump performances.

On the women's side, junior Elizabeth Stirling (Wantagh, N.Y.) collected second-team honors for her 5,000-meter run performance in the ECC Outdoor Championships, while Danae Glover (North Babylon, N.Y.) was named a second-teamer for the triple jump.
