Outdoor Track Opens 2015 Campaign at Ramapo Invite
Complete ResultsMAHWAH, N.J. (Apr. 5, 2015) - The LIU Post men's and women's outdoor track and field teams kicked off the 2015 season at the sixth-annual Ramapo College Roadrunner Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The women's squad tallied 11 points at the meet to place 17th. Junior
Elizabeth Stirling (Wantagh, N.Y.) captured a fourth-place finish (18:40.38) in the 5,000-meter run, while freshman
Brooke Rozea (Syosset, N.Y.) rounded out the Top-10 at 19:26.29. Junior
Jessica Wiking (Farmingdale, N.Y.) ran to a 5:43.36 clocking in the 1,500-meter run.
For the men, freshman
Thomas Flynn (Smithtown, N.Y.) came in 23rd (4:20.65) in the 1,500. Red-shirt junior
Steven Arnone (Staten Island, N.Y.) followed in 25th (4:20.06). Freshman
Ryan Gioe (Huntington Station, N.Y.) completed the feat at 4:28.94 and graduate
Joseph Lasher (Seaford, N.Y.) crossed the finish line at 4:48.14.

Dale McDonald (Roosevelt, N.Y.) ran a 51.31 in the 400-meter dash, which was good for 13th place. Sophomore
Tyler McGarvey (Babylon, N.Y.) finished 21st (17:01.18) in the 5,000-meter run. The 100-meter dash saw
Kasim Thomas (Bronx, N.Y.),
Ramel Joseph (Jamaica, N.Y.) and
Stefan Adams (Jamaica, N.Y.) clock times of 11.41, 11.73 and 12.26, respectively.
