BALTIMORE, Md. (Jun. 3, 2015) - Senior defender Emily Hanifan (Hicksville, N.Y.) of the LIU Post women's lacrosse team was named one of 13 Division II All-Americans by Inside Lacrosse on Tuesday.

Hanifan represents the lone nominee for the East Coast Conference on the IL All-America squad. The ECC Co-Defensive Player of the Year was also chosen as an IWLCA Second-Team All-American, as well as a participant in the IWLCA North-South All-Star Game to be played on Saturday (Jun. 6).

Hanifan started all 19 games for the Pioneers on defense, collecting 27 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. She also tallied three goals - the first three of her career - including a two-goal performance in an 18-5 win over Molloy in the ECC Tournament semifinals on Apr. 30.
